We are often ill prepared for the business and paperwork aspects of ministry in leadership when preparing to lead these ministries. This workshop will provide you some concrete materials, as well as discussions of situations when documentation is needed, going beyond the Safe Environment guidelines of the Diocese, to ensure proper notations of communications necessary for the safety and security of your children, youth, volunteer staff and paid personnel.
The forms and recorded information that coordinators, youth ministers, and DCM’s collect often times provide support for leadership when discussing sensitive issues with parents, volunteers and staff members. Samples of these logs, forms, and notes will be provided and can be adopted for your parish and ministry. These procedures and paper trails can help you in dealing with awkward situations, unsafe issues and difficult people in your ministry.
